About The Position
The Receptionist is responsible for delivering a positive patient experience throughout Freeman Health System. This includes scheduling patient appointments, answering phone calls, updating patient registrations, providing general information with respectful, effective communication, and other activities aimed at creating a safe and positive environment.

- Experience in delivering a positive patient experience.
- Ability to schedule patient appointments.
- Ability to answer phone calls.
- Ability to update patient registrations.
- Ability to provide general information with respectful, effective communication.

- Ability to greet all customers, patients, vendors, and other visitors.
- Ability to answer patient questions and provide aid and directions.
- Ability to register patients and ensure documentation and forms are compliant with state and federal regulatory activities, including HIPAA.
- Ability to collect payments and print receipts.
- Ability to count and balance cash drawer.
- Proficiency in medical office software for scheduling appointments.
- Ability to verify eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Greet all customers, patients, vendors, and other visitors to the facility.
- Answer patient questions and aid and directions when necessary.
- Register patients and ensure documentation and forms are compliant with state and federal regulatory activities, including but not limited to HIPAA, and all applicable regulations.
- Collect payments and print receipts for patients.
- Count and balance cash drawer.
- Utilize medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients.
- Verify eligibility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
