About The Position

Located in the heart of downtown Madison, Capitol Lakes is a premier not-for-profit Life Plan Community offering residents an engaging lifestyle with exceptional amenities and a full continuum of care. We are seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for residents, guests, and visitors while supporting daily front desk and administrative operations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in reception, customer service, or clerical work preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment.
  • Friendly, reliable, and comfortable interacting with residents and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Greet residents, guests, and visitors while creating a welcoming and professional first impression.
  • Answer and coordinate incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate departments in a timely manner.
  • Provide information and assistance to residents, staff, and visitors in person and over the phone.
  • Support administrative tasks including mail distribution, basic clerical duties, and maintaining front desk organization.
  • Assist with scheduling needs such as transportation and appointments while communicating with internal teams.
  • Help maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring visitor access and following procedures.
