About The Position

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Receptionist to join our team! This role is responsible for accurately scheduling patients, arranging for efficient patient admissions, collecting and accurately entering patient information into the computer system, and ensuring patients are aware of office policies and procedures. The Receptionist must also accurately and in a timely manner schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for clinic patients and maintain a 95% accuracy rate quarterly on all admissions into CPSI.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or higher.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Minimum of three month’s related experience; equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to use hospital information system, and operate basic computer functions and software.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Terminology is not necessary but preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for scheduling patients to be seen in the office.
  • Accurately obtains appropriate histories, prior diagnostic tests results, and all other necessary information to facilitate constructive patient visits to the office.
  • Responsible for obtaining signature on Condition of Admission forms.
  • Responsible for gathering correct information for proper insurance submission.
  • Communicates appropriately to fellow office staff to constructively facilitate good daily work flow.
  • Receive patient payments or a co-payment as required. Posts transactions appropriately to system. Counting till drawer and verifying correct amount at the beginning and ending of every shift.
  • Maintains office records, reports, and files as required.
  • Responsible for knowing office policies and being familiar with what services are available through the office.
  • Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function well in stressful situations.
  • Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity; ensures confidentiality of patients’ records.
  • Maintains a good working relationship with in the office as well as with outside contacts.
  • Participates in the educational programs, completes annual educational requirements, and attends in-service meetings as required.
