About The Position

The Receptionist serves as the front-facing representative of the organization while providing critical administrative and operational support across departments. This role is responsible for maintaining office operations, supporting vendor and customer processes, coordinating internal initiatives, and ensuring a professional, organized, and efficient workplace environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • 2+ years of administrative, receptionist, or office coordination experience
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general business systems
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset

Nice To Haves

  • associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • experience with Sage, Concur, or similar platforms preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact by greeting visitors and managing front door access
  • Handle incoming inquiries and route requests appropriately
  • Support customer-related administrative processes including: City of Columbus prequalification Portal and special bidding coordination, Backflow documentation and tracking
  • Oversee office supply inventory (office, kitchen, bathroom)
  • Coordinate facility services including: Cleaning, landscaping, snow removal, and building repairs
  • Support building-related projects and general office upkeep
  • Support company-wide programs and employee needs, including: Uniforms and boot tracking, Tool loan tracking, Travel arrangements
  • Coordinate or assist with employee engagement initiatives: Birthday and anniversary recognition, Employee events and holiday celebrations
  • Fulfill special mailing and document requests
  • Provide general administrative support to departments as needed
  • Assist with safety compliance initiatives and documentation
  • Maintain accurate records through ShareFile and other systems
  • Generate and support reporting as requested
