About The Position

Cypress Creek Hospital is a free-standing 128-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in north Houston, TX, and minutes south of The Woodlands. Cypress Creek Hospital features individual units for adolescents and adults and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Cypress Creek Hospital. We are comprised of a tenured dedicated team of Psychiatrists, Nurses, Social Workers, Mental Health Technicians and Support Staff where delivering compassionate care is our mission. Cypress Creek Hospital is a PRN Weekend and Evening Receptionist. The Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients, visitors, families, medical staff, and vendors as well as routing all incoming phone calls in a professional manner and presents a positive image. Hours are based on departmental and facility needs with varied hours as directed by the Director of PI/Compliance and/or the CEO/Managing Director.

Requirements

Minimum High School Diploma
One (1) year receptionist or customer service experience.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
Computer skills, accurate data entry skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
Ability to work independently.
Professional appearance.
Ability to work weekends is a must.

Nice To Haves

Behavioral healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Answer incoming calls and route to appropriate person/department.
Greet and directs visitors.
Process visitors as per hospital policy and procedure, checking for contraband, utilizing metal detector and prescribed search methods.
Announce codes and complete emergency procedures.
Maintain an accurate accounting of meal tickets and funds.
Assist with clerical duties as needed.
Must be available to work weekends and some evenings as needed.
