About The Position

Job Summary: The Receptionist performs a variety of clerical, administrative and customer service tasks to assist with the smooth operation of the organization.

Requirements

  • Two years of administrative and clerical experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Vision, hearing and speaking to meet performance standards
  • Walk up and down long staircases multiple times daily, elevator available for use.
  • We have a large facility, and this position needs to access many different places within the facility daily.
  • Required to sit for long periods of time, talk/listen via telephone, use keyboard and mouse to navigate software programs
  • The ability to safely lift and carry up to 15 pounds on a regular basis and up to 35 pounds on an occasional basis
  • Requires ability to work in an environment that contains odors, moderate level noise, and temperature & ventilation variations while wearing any appropriate safety and/or protective clean room apparel required e.g.: safety glasses, shoe covers, gloves, hair net, face mask, lab coat or uniform

  • Bi-Lingual (Spanish), a plus

Responsibilities

  • Performs clerical duties that may include sorting and distributing mail, maintaining records, reports, correspondence and files.
  • Responsible for checking in visitors and maintaining visitor log.
  • Answer phone calls and direct calls to the appropriate person.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions and provides information to outside callers.
  • Responsible for updating, distribution and collection of daily sign-in sheets.
  • Maintains inventory of office supplies; orders new supplies as needed.
  • Assists with all company functions, quarterly meetings, birthday and anniversary celebrations, special training, etc.
  • Oversee the scheduling and completion of services with vendors as needed.
  • Maintains company phone list.
  • Responsible for maintaining the highest level of integrity, professionalism, fairness and confidentiality in all aspects of job performance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
