About The Position

Hy-Tech is adding a Receptionist to our growing team. Reporting to the Office Manager, the Receptionist is responsible for providing reception support that ensures smooth day-to-day operation and contributes to the achievement of company goals and objectives. The Receptionist carries out responsibilities in reception, building supply procurement, event support, and support for other departments as required. We are looking to add an ambitious, well-rounded individual to carry out the following key responsibilities:

Requirements

  • 1 year of administrative experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging and fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities.
  • Maintain high-quality standards and be a positive ambassador for Hy-Tech.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, developing strong relationships.
  • Perceive the bigger picture, tailoring your actions to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Must have a valid driver’s licence and provide a current drivers abstract annually.

Responsibilities

  • Answer general incoming telephone calls and processes them professionally.
  • Greet visitors, directs inquiries, and provides information.
  • Ensure the office lobby, kitchen and public areas are always kept neat and tidy.
  • Understand and use Admin Team best practices and tools to work efficiently within Admin department and with other departments (e.g., Admin Huddle, Ongoing Tasks, TEAMS etc.).
  • Organize outgoing mail and other items for shipment. Pick up incoming mail, process it and distribute it to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
  • Review and categorize Hy-Tech emails (personal, Admin Group, Fax). Respond in a timely manner and/or forward them to the appropriate party.
  • Support inventory management of swag, kitchen, office and janitorial supplies and pick up other items as required.
  • Support training of others on how to use office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, scanners, laminators, etc.
  • Support planning and organizing internal events (e.g., monthly birthday celebration, staff lunches, family party, staff party, etc.).
  • Support the planning, coordination, and distribution of employee recognition and seasonal gift programs, including milestone and holiday initiatives.
  • Assist in maintaining various employee perks (e.g., recreation passes, discount cards, etc.).
