About The Position

Securitas is seeking a Receptionist Security Officer for a full-time position. This role serves as the primary point of contact, responsible for visitor reception, phone management, issuing badges, and operating security systems like CCTV. The officer will enforce safety protocols, monitor entry points, and respond to emergencies, proactively preventing security breaches by monitoring access, verifying credentials, and identifying suspicious behavior.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 18 years of age.
  • Reliable means of transportation.
  • Able to speak, write and read English.
  • Proven experience as a receptionist, security officer, or in a similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and experience with security management software.
  • Must possess a valid security guard license.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional education or training in security management or customer service is a plus.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Monitor and control access to the building, ensuring that only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
  • Maintain a visitor log and issue visitor badges as required.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide information and assistance to visitors and employees regarding facility policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular security checks of the lobby and surrounding areas to identify and address any potential security issues.
  • Coordinate with security personnel and emergency services as needed in case of incidents or emergencies.
  • Assist in the implementation of security protocols and procedures to enhance safety within the facility.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to data protection regulations.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
