LG’s R&D Lab in Santa Clara is seeking a professional and dependable Contract Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for visitors and to provide essential front‑office and administrative support. This is a fully on-site role and ideal for someone who takes pride in creating a welcoming, well-organized office environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or office support role
  • Professional appearance, demeanor, and strong customer service mindset
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy, on-site office environment
  • Basic proficiency with office tools (email, phone systems, document preparation)

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors, guests, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner
  • Manage visitor sign-in, badge issuance, and badge control procedures
  • Serve as the main point of contact for external visitors during on-site visits
  • Maintain and update employee directories, phone lists, and contact information
  • Perform basic typing and preparation of letters or documents as needed
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving; maintain accurate logs of deliveries and shipments
  • Support internal events, meetings, and on-site functions as needed
  • Maintain office supplies and place weekly orders with approved vendors (e.g., Staples)
  • Keep common areas, including the breakroom, clean, organized, and stocked
  • Prepare coffee and ensure breakroom readiness on a daily basis
  • Coordinate with the Facilities Manager to distribute announcements related to building notices, external events, or alerts
  • Assist with processing common office expenses (utilities, office supplies, phone/internet, etc.) and follow up to ensure timely payment
  • Support new vendor setup by coordinating vendor registration forms, W‑9s, invoices, and required documentation
  • Follow up with vendors and accounting teams to ensure timely system setup and payment readiness
  • Respond flexibly to additional administrative or office-related tasks as needed to support the team
