About The Position

Herb Chambers Toyota of Boston is proud to represent one of the flagship locations within our organization — a high-visibility, high-performance dealership that reflects the standard of excellence our guests expect. As part of our mission to be the most guest-centric automotive retailer, the Receptionist serves as the first impression of our brand and is a critical part of the guest experience. This role is far more than a traditional front desk position. You will be the face and often the voice of the dealership, setting the tone for every interaction and ensuring each guest receives a polished, professional, and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive or call. We are seeking an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and takes pride in representing a premier dealership. The ideal candidate is professional, adaptable, highly organized, and comfortable balancing multiple responsibilities while maintaining exceptional service standards.

Requirements

  • Exceptional communication and guest service skills
  • Professional presence and polished demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a high-energy dealership environment
  • Flexible approach to responsibilities and willingness to support multiple areas of the operation
  • Strong computer and phone proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook
  • Sense of urgency, attention to detail, and commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Flexible schedule, including late shifts
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must pass pre-employment screening

  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist all walk-in guests with professionalism, warmth, and urgency
  • Manage a high volume of inbound phone calls and direct guests efficiently to the appropriate department or team member
  • Assess guest needs quickly and ensure a seamless transition to sales, service, or management teams
  • Provide accurate information, take detailed messages, and ensure timely communication
  • Support administrative and clerical duties that contribute to daily operational excellence
  • Maintain the front reception area as a polished reflection of our flagship facility
  • Adapt to evolving business needs and support additional responsibilities as assigned by management
