The Receptionist Clinic is responsible for providing clerical support, managing patient scheduling and registration within the Epic system, and ensuring a positive visitor experience. This role involves handling incoming calls, welcoming visitors, managing mail, ordering supplies, and maintaining office equipment. A key part of the role includes managing patient check-in processes, verifying and updating patient demographics and insurance information, collecting necessary documents, and processing co-payments and other patient obligations. The receptionist also assists patients with MyChart signup and activation, responds to MyChart messages, and ensures patient privacy and confidentiality. Daily tasks include prepping for upcoming appointments, reviewing work queues for registration errors, utilizing Epic waitlists, and updating no-shows and cancellations. The position requires some independent judgment within standard practices and procedures.
