Requirements

  • Must have full knowledge and understanding to speak and write the English language.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.
  • Basic knowledge of computer/word processing applications.
  • Ability to communicate with patients and all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to adapt to critical situations and work independently with minimal or no supervision

Responsibilities

  • Greets patients, physicians and other hospital staff utilizing services provided by the Department.
  • Receives incoming telephone calls, makes satisfactory disposition of calls or transfers to the appropriate party.
  • Performs clerical functions required to process and maintain all records associated with department insuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assists Physicians and Technical staff in locating and obtaining the appropriate patient files.
  • Coordinates the radiographic images and files to ensure accuracy in the patients’ records.
  • Prepares images and for release as requested obtaining accurate documentation to insure patient confidentiality.
  • Ensures that returns are filed within an acceptable time frame.
  • Participates in the on-going process of CQI via documentation, data collection and customer satisfaction.
  • Understands and applies customer relations skills.
  • Participates and attends department meeting as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
