About The Position

This role establishes and operates warehouse operations in support of food manufacturing activities. The primary responsibilities include accurately and timely unloading and processing of received items, preparing documentation and transactions according to established protocols for receipt, inspection, inventory control, issuance, and consumption. The position also supports manufacturing activities by transporting materials, WIP, and FG products between Alphia locations.

Requirements

High School or equivalent diploma
Knowledge and proficiency in Alphia Business Systems as applies to Position.
Must obtain Alphia certification for forklift operation.
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Ability to organize, operate, and execute warehouse operations in accordance with sanitation & inventory procedures consistent with established Food safety guidelines.
Ability to maintain cleanliness of all assigned areas daily.
Ability to safely operate forklift with accuracy and efficiency.
Ability to operate hand-held scanner & computerized inventory system for advanced inventory transactions.
Ability to receive product from carrier both LTL and truckload.
Ability to inspect and account for all items coming into the Alphia facility.
Ability to verify accuracy of raw ingredients, packaging, and supplies.
Ability to properly inspect, label, wrap and transfer to the correct warehouse location.
Ability to stage all materials needed for upcoming production runs both packaging/processing for the next 24 hours daily.
Ability to perform cycle counts.
Ability to oversee the warehouse flow and report daily the available warehouse space and any inventory/shipping issues.
Ability to maintain assigned equipment.
Ability to coordinate with Plant Maintenance.
Familiarity and implementation of GMP’s and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for all products.

Nice To Haves

Must obtain C.J. Foods certification for forklift operation.

Responsibilities

Organize, operate, and execute warehouse operations in accordance with sanitation & inventory procedures consistent with established Food safety guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness of all assigned areas daily.
Safely operate forklift (Must obtain Alphia certification) with accuracy and efficiency.
Operate hand-held scanner & computerized inventory system for advanced inventory transactions.
Receive product from carrier both LTL and truckload.
Inspect and account for all items coming into the Alphia facility.
Verify accuracy of raw ingredients, packaging, and supplies that are brought to the restock area from manufacturing and packaging.
Properly inspect, label, wrap and transfer to the correct warehouse location.
Stage all materials needed for upcoming production runs both packaging/processing for the next 24 hours daily.
Perform cycle counts.
Oversee the warehouse flow and report daily the available warehouse space and any inventory/shipping issues (mis-ticketed pallets, damaged pallets, etc.).
Maintain assigned equipment.
Coordinate with Plant Maintenance.
Responsible for familiarity and implementation of GMP’s and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for all products.
Other duties as directed or assigned by Inventory Lead and/or Shipping & Receiving manager.
