Receiving Supervisor
About The Position
The Receiving Supervisor has a very important role in ensuring product integrity of seed received at the plant. Other essential job functions may include but not limited to: Performing work activities safely and in compliance with company Quality Management System. Verifying hilum purity, moisture content, contaminants and mechanical damage by performing a soak test on every truck load of seed received prior to unloading. Thorough cleaning of all equipment in order to maintain product integrity. Safely climb stairs and/or ladders to monitor and adjust equipment. Ensure product integrity by avoiding variety mixtures in receiving bins. Assist in coordinating seed arrival from on-farm storage. This may require communication directly with growers via phone/text. Assists the Conditioning Supervisor and Conditioning Operator in the conditioning tower as needed. Lead fellow team members that may be assisting in the receiving area. Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area.
Requirements
- Reliability
- Ability to perform tasks safely
- Compliance with location policies and procedures
- Ability to perform physical labor, Lift greater than 50lbs
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience preferred
- Knowledge of routine and preventative maintenance preferred
- Communication skills and experience preferred
