About The Position

Responsible for working alongside a small team to receive product into the system. This supervisor would also oversee the other staff on the early morning shift to assure safety and productivity. Additional duties, which are necessary to carry out the functions of a Production Supervisor, may be assigned and are incorporated by reference into this job description.

Requirements

• Conducts the interviewing process for potential employees; participates in the hiring and firing process; disciplines and commends employees accordingly; handles employee complaints; evaluates employee job performance; directs the employee performance planning process and sets job expectations in order to establish obtainable goals; and Directly supervises 10 (+/–) nonexempt employees.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle or feel and reach with hands or arms.
• Occasionally required to talk or hear.
• Must be able to perform the physical duties of a cigarette or other stamper as the employee may be required to assist when needed.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the direct and indirect supervision of employees including, but not limited to, training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving issues;
• Responsible for managing personnel to ensure all duties and responsibilities are handled daily and in the event of absences;
• Responsible for determining work procedures and expedites work flow;
• Issues written or oral instructions to subordinates;
• Supervises and/or assists, as needed, when short staffed or heavy workload requires additional manpower; in addition, assists other Areas when assigned Areas are completed till ALL Areas are done;
• Performs above listed duties in a cooperative, capable manner, processing the information effectively and communicating the information as needed effectively;
