About The Position

Kimberton Whole Foods is hiring a full-time Receiving & Stocking Associate. This role involves assisting with deliveries, organizing stock efficiently, inspecting products, stocking shelves in perishable and grocery departments, and potentially assisting the front end with customer transactions. The position requires physical capabilities such as lifting, stooping, walking, and standing for prolonged periods, as well as the ability to work in cold environments.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Full sense range (vision, hearing and sense of smell).
• Ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control.
• Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers.
• Lifting, gripping and carrying objects up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products.
• Stooping, squatting, & kneeling to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
• Walking short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
• Prolonged standing.
• Movement-based work with the majority of time spent in motion (walking & standing).
• Ability to work in cold environments (cooler, Freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in receiving deliveries, making space for merchandise without blocking exits or work areas.
• Planning for efficiency when back stocking so that needed items are not buried.
• Ensuring all items are clearly labeled and dated.
• Consolidating items for maximum space efficiency.
• Inspecting products to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Assisting in stocking the Perishable and Grocery departments.
• Stocking and handling product following guidelines for time and temperature demands.
• Working in collaboration with Department Heads to maintain accurate and up-to-date product signage.
• Assisting the Front End by scanning customers' groceries and completing transactions efficiently.
• Carefully and efficiently bagging groceries.
• Assisting in other areas of the store as needed.
