About The Position

This role is responsible for receiving freight using radio frequency monitors (RF) and stocking or splitting out freight from UPS and other freight lines. The position is for the 2nd shift, working Monday through Thursday from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, with Fridays off. It is a full-time employment type.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
3-12 months experience preferred
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
Basic administrative skills (checking work, record-keeping, reporting, training)
Basic clerical skills (filing, proofreading, ten-key)
Basic mathematical skills (calculating, problem solving, reasoning)
Basic mechanical skills (maintenance, repairing)
Basic reading skills (correspondence, technical)
Basic writing skills (correspondence, memos)
Basic knowledge level
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently, and up to 75 lbs occasionally
Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, squat, kneel
Manual dexterity for operating computer and RF handheld scanner
Ability to work required shifts and maintain attendance standards
Vision adequate for job responsibilities
Ability to wear protective steel-toed shoes and other required protective devices

Responsibilities

Receive Freight: Enter P.O. number or scan UPC code, log P.O. if not logged, scan item and enter quantity received, pull items for split out, load and scan items for stock to shelf, scan pallet/shelf ID, place tickets on items without UPCs, request price tickets, deliver items marked to attention.
Send Out Direct Bill Items: Sort by stores, put direct billing stickers on, complete direct bill packing list, pack cases on pallets.
Build Pallets: Pack merchandise on pallets, ensure heavy items are lowest, shrink wrap pallets, label pallets with store number and barcode, move pallets to staging area.
Load And Unload Trucks: Load/unload merchandise using pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
Clean Up: Sweep floor, move pallets, empty trash cans and dumpsters.
Other Duties as Requested by Management: Help in other areas of warehouse, assist with training new associates, ensure receiving staging area is kept orderly.
