About The Position

The Receiving Specialist is responsible for accurately receiving and processing incoming garment shipments, ensuring they meet quality standards and are prepared for production. This role involves meticulous data entry, quality control, and proactive communication to maintain an efficient workflow and support production deadlines. The specialist will also collaborate with various teams and be cross-trained in shipping duties.

Responsibilities

• Accurately count all incoming garments and compare counts to purchase orders and packing slips.
• Log all counts and receive information into Salesforce in a timely and accurate manner.
• Inspect garments for correct color, style, size, and overall quality before accepting for production.
• Flag and report any discrepancies, damages, or incorrect items immediately to the Production Manager.
• Proactively look at the future schedule and communicate any delays or discrepancies that could affect the production timeline.
• Organize and stage received goods at the designated machines for the next day’s production before the end of each shift.
• Keep receiving and staging areas clean, safe, and organized to support efficient workflow.
• Work closely with production, purchasing, vendors, and customer service teams to ensure timely communication and problem resolution.
• Be appropriately cross-trained in the Shipping Specialist role.
