About The Position
The Receiving Specialist plays a critical role in the manufacturing supply chain by ensuring that all incoming materials and products are accurately received, inspected, and documented.
Requirements
- Regularly required to be in a stationary position
- Move within the facilities
- Constantly operate machining equipment and tools
- Inspect surroundings and equipment
- Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder
- Communicate with others
- Detect odors
- Transport equipment up to 40+ pounds
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage according to company standards.
- Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and delivery documents to ensure correct quantities and specifications.
- Document and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the appropriate departments for resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of all received materials using inventory management systems and manual logs.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to properly store received goods and update inventory status.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies during the receiving process.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, procurement, and production teams to facilitate timely receipt of materials.
- Assist in periodic inventory audits and support continuous improvement initiatives related to receiving operations.
