About The Position

As a Receiving PIT Operator, you will be responsible for the movement and storage of material within the distribution center utilizing a reach truck, sit-down forklift, and pacer. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, collaboration with the warehouse team, and maintaining a clean work environment. You may also assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of Warehouse organization procedures.
Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
Able to lift and move heavy merchandise items.
Minimum of 1 year of PIT experience operating a sit-down forklift, reach truck, and pacer within a warehouse environment.
Previous experience utilizing a warehouse scan gun.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in reading orders and accurate documentation.
Adherence to all safety requirements; utilizing a safety-first mindset.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Standing, walking, bending, and squatting most of the time.
Repetitive motions including pushing & pulling with hands most of the time.
Frequently carrying up to 25 lbs.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Seldom sitting or crawling.

Responsibilities

Lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, and replenish products from various heights and weights.
Safely transport materials within the warehouse or distribution center using a sit-down forklift, reach truck, and pacer.
Maneuver equipment through narrow aisles, around obstacles, and properly stack or shelve materials.
Adhere to safety protocols, including speed limits, load capacities, and pedestrian traffic guidelines.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and conduct before/after operational inspections of equipment.
Notify management about unsafe working conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures.
Collaborate with management and the warehouse team to maintain inventory levels and fulfill orders accurately and timely.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Occasionally assist with other warehouse tasks, such as picking and packing orders, conducting inventory counts, and preparing merchandise for shipment.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
