Requirements

  • Right to work in U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
  • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
  • Must be able to perform physical job duties with or without reasonable accommodation: bending, kneeling, lifting 50 pounds, climbing, crawling, and twisting
  • Ability to work in elevated areas(4 feet or above)
  • Must be able to read/write English
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience operating forklift
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Inventory systems knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word
  • Basic mechanical experience
  • Prior experience in production related work

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate industrial forklifts and powered industrial equipment to move, store, load, and unload materials within production and warehouse areas.
  • Handle irregular, bulky, or palletized materials, including loading trucks and stacking product in high racks or storage locations.
  • Interacting with truck drivers
  • Review and complete production shipping and receiving documentation, and enter material movement data into computerized systems.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area by disposing of waste using compactors or balers, and following all safety and lockout procedures.
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or variable shifts with advance notice.
  • Other duties as assigned.
