About The Position

The Receiving Material Handler is responsible for unloading, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments of raw materials, components, and supplies. The role ensures received materials meet quality standards and are stored appropriately to support production operations. The position works 100% outside in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment and collaborates with Purchasing, Production, and Quality.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in warehouse, logistics, or material handling.
Ability to lift up to the weight indicated in the posting's placeholder (example: 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office and inventory software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification preferred.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems for inventory tracking is a plus.

Responsibilities

Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
Verify shipment contents against packing lists, invoices, and purchase orders.
Label, sort, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/MRP systems.
Work with Purchasing, Production, and Quality to resolve discrepancies.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
Keep receiving and storage areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
