About The Position

Responsible for operating forklifts and cherry pickers to unload materials and merchandise from incoming trucks and picking product for shipment. This role involves accurately picking parts, weighing product, checking part numbers and quantities, and packing orders with a high degree of accuracy. The position also requires reading customer order notes, maintaining stock of warehouse and shipping supplies, assisting with inventory counts and audits, and reporting any stock shelf issues or defective materials. Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and adhering to all safety rules are essential. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Certified to operate forklifts and cherry pickers.
  • Strong proficiency in English communication including reading, writing, and verbal interactions are required for complying with safety protocols and operational procedures.
  • Regularly required to stand and walk on level surfaces for a prolonged period.
  • Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above should height and below the waist.
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs. 70% of the day and up to 65 lbs. 30% of the day.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1+ years of related job experience preferred.
  • RF handheld experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and cherry pickers.
  • Accurately pick parts throughout the warehouse.
  • Weigh product using the proper scales.
  • Check part numbers and quantities with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Accurately pack orders into shipping cartons, verifying all components of the order are accounted for the correct customer.
  • Read customer order notes and fill the order with any special customer requirements.
  • Maintain stock of warehouse and shipping supplies.
  • Assist in counting physical inventory; perform inventory audits as needed.
  • Notify Department Lead or Department Supervisor of any stock shelf issues.
  • Report defective materials/product, shortages and/or questionable conditions to the Lead or Supervisor.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Follow all safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
