About The Position

The Receiving Lumper assists with daily warehouse operations, working safely and efficiently while following instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices, and quality standards. The role reports to the Receiving Supervisor and supports receiving, palletizing, product handling, and storage activities. The position is full-time, based at the GHRA Warehouse in Houston, Texas, with a Monday–Friday shift and an hourly pay range of $14.00–$14.00.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in shipping/receiving and/or a warehouse environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to perform basic math calculations, including addition, subtraction, and division.
Experience using standing riding pallet jacks, walking pallet jacks, or similar equipment as required.
Excellent verbal and oral communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of variables.
Detail-oriented.
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Palletize products according to weight and product type.
Assist with loading and unloading products from trucks as required.
Break down and separate pallets that are too high or contain mixed product types.
Move palletized products to storage.
Communicate with the scheduler and receivers about the daily workload.
Offload inbound trucks in a timely manner.
Inspect articles for defects and place defective products on pallets for damaged goods.
Comply with safety policies and procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
Look for ways to improve processes.
Adjust quickly and efficiently to changes in work goals.
Demonstrate personal urgency and energy in achieving results.
