About The Position

The Shipping Lead plays a crucial role in the Warehouse industry by overseeing the efficient and accurate receipt of goods into the warehouse. This position is responsible for ensuring that all incoming shipments are inspected, documented, and stored appropriately, maintaining the integrity of inventory management. The Shipping Lead will coordinate with various departments to streamline processes and resolve any discrepancies that may arise during the receiving process. Additionally, this role involves training and supervising a team of receiving associates, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency. Ultimately, the Shipping Lead contributes to the overall operational success of the organization by ensuring that products are received and processed in a timely manner, supporting the supply chain and customer satisfaction goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a warehouse or receiving role, with at least 2 years experience.
  • Strong understanding of inventory systems and processes.
  • Strong leadership abilities, which are essential for training and guiding the receiving team effectively.
  • Attention to detail is critical, as the Shipping Lead must accurately inspect and document incoming shipments to prevent inventory discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient operations.
  • Communication skills are vital for coordinating with suppliers and other departments to resolve issues promptly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with warehouse, receiving, pallet jack, picking orders, housekeeping, and inventory
  • Certification in forklift operation or other material handling equipment.
  • Experience with warehouse management software, enhance the ability to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency in the receiving area.

Responsibilities
