About The Position

The Receiving Lead will oversee the order filling process of raw and packaging materials from the warehouse to the processing/packaging departments, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of materials. This role is responsible for inventory accuracy, labor efficiency, customer service, and housekeeping, while directing product flow and daily activities according to the receiving plan. The Lead will also provide excellent customer service, complete daily logs, and oversee picking, returns, receiving, and stocking processes. Additionally, the position involves conducting receiving audits, performing disciplinary counseling, enforcing safety rules, and providing training to team members. Regular and dependable attendance is essential. The role requires the ability to drive a yard truck, work overtime when needed, and maintain adherence to all relevant safety, quality, and company policies.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Experience as a Lead or Supervisor required.
Minimum of 2 years of forklift and warehouse experience required.
Ability to motivate and lead others.
Effective communication skills, both in speaking and writing.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel required.
Organized, professional and capable of multitasking.
Capable of working independently and with little direction.

Nice To Haves

M3/WMS software experience a plus.
Bi-lingual, English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee the order filling process of raw/packaging materials from the warehouse to processing/packaging departments and proper movement of product.
Ensure raw materials and packaging materials are received timely and accurately.
Ensure team members follow established policies and procedures.
Responsible for inventory accuracy, labor efficiency, customer service, and housekeeping.
Direct product flow and daily activities as per receiving plan.
Provide excellent customer service to all departments, customers, and carriers.
Complete daily labor activity log and provide a daily checklist of warehouse TQM.
Oversee the order picking, returns, receiving, and stocking processes on shift.
Responsible for receiving audits and submitting PIP requests to maintenance.
Perform disciplinary counseling when needed.
Responsible for enforcing all safety rules and provide training to team members.
Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position.
Know how to drive a yard truck.
Able to work overtime when needed.
Maintain adherence to safety policies, USDA, QA, HACCP, AIB and sanitation rules and regulations, and company policies.
All other duties as assigned.
