About The Position

The Receiving & Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing the safe and efficient flow of materials within the warehouse, including receiving, inspecting, storing, and shipping products in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. Duties include unloading and verifying incoming shipments, inspecting materials and transport conditions, coordinating outbound transfers, and supporting packaging operations. Ensures proper inventory control through cycle counting, FIFO practices, and accurate system tracking. Maintains warehouse organization, sanitation, and safety while operating and performing basic maintenance on material-handling equipment such as forklifts. Handles chemical storage in accordance with HACCP and safety guidelines, including proper labeling and documentation. Completes all required documentation and ensures compliance with regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA, FDA, SQF). Additional responsibilities include managing defective or damaged materials, optimizing storage locations for efficiency, and providing cross-functional support as needed. Must adhere to all safety standards and be able to regularly lift 25–50 pounds.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of related work experience and/or training in the areas of Shipping, Receiving, Inventory and/or Supply Chain required.
  • Forklift experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Maintenance experience a plus.
