About The Position

Perform inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures of incoming materials, parts and components used in the manufacture of parts, partially assembled or finished.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Quality Systems preferred
  • Drawing interpretation preferred
  • In-process and final inspections capability
  • Process auditing capability
  • Familiarity with regulated industry standards (ISO 9000, ISO13485, FDA, etc.) preferred
  • Keen understanding and knowledge of manufacturing-related safety issues.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to record and document applicable data.
  • Ability to complete paperwork successfully.
  • Driven by process improvement and continuous improvement.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced production environment.
  • English language proficiency to include verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as well as drug and alcohol screening.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years production and process knowledge in manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies or finished company products using standard measurements according to well-defined criteria.
  • Rework or reject subassemblies or finished products as required.
  • Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audit standards.
  • Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate calibration of all test equipment and fixtures.
  • Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.
  • Participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function.
  • Assist in the writing and updating of inspection procedures, protocol, and checklists.
  • Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervise.
  • Work with Production management and Quality Assurance to provide feedback to assemblers regarding the accuracy of assembly procedures.
  • Perform review of product history records and other documentation for compliance with established procedures and good documentation practices.
  • Shift reporting as required for finished and processed goods.
  • Maintain and organize hold and rework area.
  • Trained on specific inspection and assembly processes and conducts those inspections with ease.
  • Cycle counting.
  • Supply ordering for receiving and inspection area and manufacturing as needed.
  • Supply data for vendor performance and update inspection results.
  • Other duties as assigned.
