About The Position

Perform inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures of incoming materials, parts and components used in the manufacture of parts, partially assembled or finished.

Requirements

Knowledge of Quality Systems preferred
Drawing interpretation preferred
In-process and final inspections capability
Process auditing capability
Familiarity with regulated industry standards (ISO 9000, ISO13485, FDA, etc.) preferred
Keen understanding and knowledge of manufacturing-related safety issues.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Attention to detail and the ability to record and document applicable data.
Ability to complete paperwork successfully.
Driven by process improvement and continuous improvement.
Strong computer skills.
Strong math skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced production environment.
English language proficiency to include verbal and written communication.
Ability to pass a criminal background check as well as drug and alcohol screening.
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years production and process knowledge in manufacturing

Responsibilities

Perform inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies or finished company products using standard measurements according to well-defined criteria.
Rework or reject subassemblies or finished products as required.
Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audit standards.
Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
Coordinate calibration of all test equipment and fixtures.
Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.
Participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function.
Assist in the writing and updating of inspection procedures, protocol, and checklists.
Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervise.
Work with Production management and Quality Assurance to provide feedback to assemblers regarding the accuracy of assembly procedures.
Perform review of product history records and other documentation for compliance with established procedures and good documentation practices.
Shift reporting as required for finished and processed goods.
Maintain and organize hold and rework area.
Trained on specific inspection and assembly processes and conducts those inspections with ease.
Cycle counting.
Supply ordering for receiving and inspection area and manufacturing as needed.
Supply data for vendor performance and update inspection results.
Other duties as assigned.
