About The Position

Responsible for inspecting and testing of component parts, kits, and subassemblies to ensure strict compliance with company policies, procedures, processes, and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be a friendly team player, professional, detail-oriented, and honest
  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
  • Utilize testing and inspection equipment including go/no-go gauges, measuring tape, and use calibrated equipment to determine acceptance criteria
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Compute and compile necessary data and present data in various forms for recording and reporting
  • Read, interpret, and follow instructions, policies, procedures, and process guidelines
  • Operate effectively as a team member with minimal supervision
  • Lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs.
  • Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement
  • A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good visual and color perception with excellent attention to detail for fabric inspection
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of experience inspecting mechanical components and assemblies preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in evaluating weld quality, materials, and inspection for completion preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience inspecting received parts in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience utilizing Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) (Engineering Drawing and Related Documentation Practices) preferred
  • At least 6 months of experience operating powered industrial forklifts preferred
  • Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and physical inspection and testing of component parts, kits, and subassemblies
  • Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and perform necessary corrective actions
  • Disposition accepted and rejected product as needed
  • Complete inspection forms in a legible and accurate manner
  • Rework product to meet specifications, as needed
  • Verify that all tools and scales are properly calibrated and in date, and coordinate replacements as needed
  • Assist Receiving in the movement of product to inspection area as needed
  • Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
  • Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training
  • Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
  • Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
  • Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times
  • Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
