About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced or Senior Receiving Inspection Quality Specialist to join our team located offsite at 3rd party logistics supplier. This role involves performing comprehensive receiving inspections on various parts and assemblies, conducting shipping inspections, and interfacing with the Material Review Board (MRB) to resolve non-conformances. The specialist will also coordinate with supplier quality representatives and may lead efforts to resolve issues related to damaged or suspect parts. Additionally, the role serves as a focal point for audits, government source inspections, and tooling/property compliance, and may involve developing training materials.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in receiving inspection
  • 3+ years experience with root cause corrective action (RCCA) and failure analysis.
  • 3+ years experience with quality inspection and/or auditing processes.
  • 3+ years experience working with AS9100 or similar Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
  • 3+ years experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace industry
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive receiving inspections, including: Machine parts, first article engineering acceptance, sheet metal, composite, assembly, counterfeit electronic parts, electrostatic discharge, pyrotechnic parts, aircraft tire and wheel, critical parts tracking system inspections, MRB processing, and authorization to ship (ATS)
  • Conduct shipping inspections and provide Certificate of Conformance (CoC) for commercial tubes and parts.
  • Interface with Material Review Board (MRB) to issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
  • Assist in resolving issues related to damaged or suspect parts and coordinate with supplier quality representatives
  • Leads efforts to resolve issues related to damaged or suspect parts and coordinate with supplier quality representatives
  • Serve as the focal point for receiving inspection audits, government source inspections (GSI), and tooling/property in storage compliance
  • Develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in and productivity
