About The Position

Bavarian Inn Restaurant is hiring a part-time Receiving Dock Worker for 24–30 hours per week. The schedule is 8 a.m.–4 p.m., with weekends required, and the wage is $15–$17 per hour. This hands-on role supports the team by receiving and organizing products, maintaining clean and safe storage areas, and completing local deliveries and pickups. The role involves working in refrigerated and freezer environments and performing physical tasks throughout an 8-hour shift.

The uniform consists of black work pants, black slip-resistant shoes, and a collared, button-down short-sleeve shirt.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to perform a variety of hands-on tasks.
• Ability to work independently and alongside other team members in a busy environment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be willing and able to obtain a chauffeur's license within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to regularly lift and move 50+ pounds; stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Comfort working in refrigerated and freezer environments.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, commercial cleaning, or food service is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Unload delivery trucks; inspect incoming products, verify quantities, and report discrepancies or damaged items.
• Store and rotate products in coolers, freezers, dry storage, and other designated areas.
• Maintain clean, orderly, and safe storage areas; ensure products are properly stored, labeled, and rotated to preserve freshness, prevent spoilage, and meet food safety standards.
• Perform routine and deep cleaning of the receiving dock, coolers, freezers, stock rooms, and other designated storage areas, including floors, walls, shelving, storage racks, equipment exteriors, and other surfaces.
• Maintain inventory security and follow proper security and handling protocols.
• Prioritize proper handling of perishable goods to prevent loss, damage, or spoilage.
• Perform daily local deliveries and pickup requests as assigned.
