Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of receiving, purchasing, warehouse, or hotel experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hospitality or hotel operations strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Ensure quantity, pricing, and quality of goods match approved purchase orders.
  • Reject or report damaged, spoiled, or incorrect goods to department leaders immediately.
  • Accurately enter receiving data into the hotel’s inventory and accounting systems.
  • Maintain organized receiving logs and documentation for audit purposes.
  • Coordinate with department heads for timely distribution of received goods.
  • Monitor and enforce proper storage procedures, including FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Assist with monthly inventory counts and reconciliation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
  • Communicate discrepancies to vendors and internal departments.
  • Support cost control initiatives by identifying pricing or invoice inconsistencies.
  • Order supplies and stock associate cafeteria.
  • Receive and distribute incoming mail to departments.
