About The Position

The Receiving Clerk at dnata Catering plays a critical role in supporting supply chain operations. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and accurately documenting incoming shipments of food, beverages, and related supplies. Attention to detail and adherence to quality standards are essential to ensure all products are properly received and stored. The Receiving Clerk will work closely with multiple departments to resolve delivery discrepancies and support smooth operations, contributing to dnata’s commitment to delivering exceptional in-flight dining experiences worldwide.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years’ of food and beverage storeroom experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work in refrigerated storage environments.
  • Ability to move stock on flat surfaces and inclined ramps using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and lifts.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Continuously asked to multi-task under time limits.
  • Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Receive deliveries from suppliers and verify shipments against purchase orders for accuracy, quality, and completeness; document and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
  • Break down skids and properly store raw materials.
  • Accurately fill requisitions from stock/warehouse in a timely manner, including food and non-food items, dry goods, and refrigerated items.
  • Restock, rotate, and organize inventory in both refrigerated and non-refrigerated storage areas following FIFO procedures.
  • Dispose of refuse by breaking down containers as required.
  • Maintain clean and organized storage areas daily, including cleanup of spills and breakage.
  • Work effectively as a team member and collaborate with supervisors at all levels.
  • Perform duties safely to prevent injury to self and others.
  • Assist with inventory checks and audits as needed.
  • Comply with all HACCP, GMP, and food safety policies and procedures.
  • Pack racks and ovens when required.
  • Assist kitchen staff by providing requested items promptly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by unit supervisors.
