This role is responsible for receiving, unloading, and processing deliveries, and accounting for incoming freight based on invoice and receiving reports. The Receiving Clerk will stage merchandise by department, mark it appropriately for placement in the facility, and deliver it to the appropriate department. They will verify and track received inventory, complete inventory reports and logs, and reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports to ensure count accuracy. This position also handles receiving, storing, shipping, and delivering incoming and outgoing department packages and mail. The Receiving Clerk must secure the receiving room and its contents, ensuring the safekeeping of packages, and follow all national, state, and local hazardous material shipping guidelines and regulations. They will ship all out-going mail and packages, verify the quantity and condition of packages upon receipt prior to delivery to guests, and communicate with guests regarding received packages. Maintaining an accurate tracking system on all shipping and receiving transactions, including receiving guest signatures for received packages, is crucial. The Receiving Clerk must also communicate with proper management regarding any loss or damage with packages. Additionally, the role requires reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, completing safety training, following all company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional appearance, maintaining confidentiality, protecting company assets, addressing guest service needs professionally and positively, speaking clearly and professionally, answering telephones with appropriate etiquette, developing positive working relationships, reading and visually verifying information, inspecting tools and equipment, and performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. This includes moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance, grasping and manipulating objects, moving through narrow or elevated spaces, moving over sloping or slippery surfaces, and reaching overhead and below the knees.
