About The Position

Bartelt Packaging is seeking a dependable and organized Receiving Clerk to process incoming shipments and maintain accurate receiving records within our manufacturing facility. This position verifies freight against purchase orders, loads and unloads deliveries, inspects materials for damage or shortages, labels parts using the ERP system, and distributes materials to the appropriate departments.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
2+ years of receiving/warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret shipping and receiving documents.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to safety and company policies.

Nice To Haves

Experience with ERP/MRP or inventory systems preferred.
Forklift experience or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Processes all incoming freight in a timely manner verifying according to purchase order numbers from Purchasing Department.
Loads and unloads freight carriers; operates powered industrial truck such as a forklift or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
Checks that the incoming parts have the correct coating, if applicable; label each part with correct part number from Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERPS) and send to the Production Department, Shipping Department or Paint Shop.
Assists vendors in pick-up of returned items.
Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items and records shortages; routes or delivers items to applicable departments.
