About The Position

The Receiving Clerk works at the Grocery 'Vendor Door' and is trained to operate the D.S.D. computer system. This role is responsible for checking in vendor merchandise as it enters the store. The primary duties include working with the vendor, proofing the order, checking/preparing the invoice, confirming case or unit counts, performing price maintenance, recording damaged merchandise, handling returns, maintaining cleanliness in the receiving area, and organizing stock in the backroom. Secondary duties involve related activities as required or assigned, including other receiving duties when needed. The position requires availability for an anticipated work schedule of 35+ hours per week, with early morning starts and generally morning to mid-afternoon hours. Requirements
