Requirements

  • 18 years or older, pending specific state requirements.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Successful background check and drug screen, state specific
  • Health screening and TB tests, state specific
  • ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card, state specific
  • The ability to work holiday and weekend shift schedules.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper receiving and storage of all food and supplies.
  • Assists with unloading and verifying purchased food and supply shipments into the kitchen against requisitions and invoices.
  • Corrects and/or notifies vendors and supervisors of errors at the time of delivery.
  • Place orders away properly, using the FIFO system, in the designated areas.
  • Keeps storerooms clean, organized and free of clutter.
  • Ensures all items in storage areas are properly labeled and dated according to policy.
  • Daily cleaning and organizing of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and freezers.
  • Ensures food storage areas shelves are clean and stocked by front-facing, checking dates, labels, rotating and removing out-of-date products.
  • Monitors products on hand and makes managers and cooks aware of any items nearing expiration to be utilized in operation.
  • Monitors product usage for appropriate par levels.
  • Daily physical inventory and ordering of foods and supplies.
  • Inventory management tasks assist with inventory counts, product ordering & end of the monthly process.
  • Immediately reports safety hazards.
  • Maintain and promote a friendly and approachable attitude towards the client, guests, and staff.
  • Communicate clearly and openly with all staff members for overall success.
  • This position will cross train to Prep Cook for 2 shift per week.
