About The Position

This position will be responsible for receiving incoming material and verifying contents. Reporting to the Receiving Supervisor, this role involves checking in, matching, counting, and stocking all incoming material. It also includes unloading and receiving materials according to standard operating procedures, reporting discrepancies, and packing/returning materials. The Receiving Clerk I serves as the point person for employees needing items from the cage and must maintain regular attendance and conduct activities safely and in accordance with company requirements.

Requirements

  • Forklift experience is required.
  • Required tool list: tape measure and folding utility knife.
  • Basic Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills are required.
  • Must be able to learn and utilize company specific software.
  • Great organization skills and attention to detail are required.
  • High level of energy and motivation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including, but not limited to, frequent and mandatory overtime and some weekends required.
  • Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, both hourly and management, in a team environment.
  • Must comply with Roeslein’s core values for the safe and efficient operation of the business and maintain sound relationships among and with employees.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.
  • One (1) year of shipping & receiving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Check-in, match, count, and stock all incoming material.
  • Unload and receive materials in accordance with the receiving standard operating procedure.
  • Report any discrepancies to the Receiving Specialist and assist appropriately.
  • Pack, seal, and return materials in a timely manner.
  • Serve as point person for employees who need items from the cage.
  • Regular attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.
  • Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.
