About The Position

The primary duty of this position is the breaking down and preparation of all incoming shipments to attain an optimized and streamlined process of receiving. This duty will be carried out by way of assisting in opening and processing each day’s incoming shipments received from UPS, USPS, Truck, or Delivery. Reviewing notes on all PO/Bids to determine any special instructions for Breakdown or Receiving staff, determining value and correct condition of all items, noting changes if any, and sorting like items by condition, manufacturer and/or part number into bins for receiving are key aspects of this role. The position also involves scrapping items of no value, photographing items being scrapped, researching sales history and approving part numbers, pricing and valid descriptions when necessary, and testing various items where required. Additionally, the role includes labeling bins with proper information as far as contents and linking to a PO/Bid number accordingly, disassembling units as directed, processing completed items through proper routing procedures, assisting in maintaining the log of submitted items for Pre-Eval, and assisting in pulling of un-received items for sales orders. Duties may be modified and additional duties may be assigned.
