About The Position

This position is responsible for accurately receiving and processing incoming inventory in a warehouse environment. The role involves verifying shipments against documentation, entering data into the inventory system, and ensuring proper product identification and location within the warehouse. The job requires adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work area. This is a first-shift position located in GA.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, in English.
  • Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate basic math (subtraction, multiplication, and addition).
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of a computerized inventory control system is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive Bill of Lading from the driver and visually check for accuracy.
  • Enter purchase order number, number of pallets, date of receipt, carrier, and product count into the computerized inventory system.
  • Break down delivery as specified using the packing slip or invoice and check against the packing slip by highlighting the quantity and title for accuracy of delivery.
  • Verify product against packing slip or invoice, and scan (pallet/case label) license plate (LPN) into the system to link product with its location in the warehouse.
  • Weigh, measure length, width, and depth of the product and enter the information into the inventory system.
  • Verify purchase order number, ISBN number, and quantity of product received for accuracy in the inventory system.
  • Attach (pallet/case label) license plate sticker to the bottom right corner on both sides of the pallet for product identification and tracking purposes.
  • Troubleshoot problems with invoices or purchase orders by utilizing the iSeries system.
  • Follow safety rules for personal protection and the protection of others, including maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, directed, or requested.
