About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Receiver - Afternoon Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD! This is a daylight position with core hours of 10 am - 6 pm, Monday - Friday. Overtime may exceed these hours at times. The hourly rate for this position is $20.50 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
Must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.
Strong communication skills both written and verbally.
Requires frequent lifting, bending and operation of heavy industrial mechanical equipment, such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to use both hands constantly and work in adverse weather conditions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours a day with or without reasonable accommodation.
Possible exposure to radiation through the use of a XRF device for scanning material.
Ability to use computer to review and print information.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 2 years of experience working in receiving.
Expert level on excel, using inventory software (MRP system).

Responsibilities

Accurately receives material, stock, and pulls product from and for the manufacturing lines.
Loads and unloads trucks and stages the material for use.
Enters data into the computer system.
Puts material away neatly in its designated location.
Assists in maintaining the business system's inventory by participation in cycle counts, discrepancy investigation, scanning, and solution implementation.
Develops and implements improvements to the shipping and receiving processes.
Receives materials from delivery trucks, acquires signatures, verifies quantities with purchase order, unpacks the materials, and inspects incoming material for non-conformance.
Inspects the conditions and verifies the quantities of packages being delivered prior to accepting and signing receipt of shipment.
Indicates damages and quantity variances on shipping documents prior to accepting shipment and notifies leader of damages and variances immediately.
Generates receiving documents from the computer system and reconciles the receiving documents to the packaging lists.
Indicates the number of items received on the receiving document and enters the quantity of items received into the computer system.
Receives all items into the computer system on the same day of delivery.
Navigates and uses MFG Pro computer system to verify and upload purchase orders and inventory levels.
Understands quality control functions associated with material certification of conformance.
Ensures safety and cleanliness of area (5S+).
Effectively communicates with external suppliers addressing issues associated with required paperwork and inspection reports.
Interacts with different carriers such as FedEx, UPS, DHL.
Performs data entry in computer and mobile device.
Trains new and existing employees.
Helps in other departments when needed.
