About The Position

United Salad of Washington, Inc. is one of the area’s largest family-owned distributors of fresh produce, grocery, and food service products across the Pacific Northwest region. We distribute produce to national and independent grocers, restaurants, schools, and other institutions to provide them with high-quality produce sourced from local farmers and growers across the globe.

Requirements

6 months or more experience with electric sit-down forklift and pallet jack.
Ability to pick up, turn and lift 30-40 lbs repeatedly.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays is required.
Effective listening skills.
Attention to detail.
Effectively work as a team member and independently as needed.
Positive, can-do attitude team player with a strong work ethic.
Work in a refrigerated environment.
All job offers made are contingent on passing a drug screen, including THC.

Responsibilities

Properly inspect inbound trucks for proper cleanliness and product temperatures once they are assigned a door.
Records and checks quantity and quality of goods received for conformity to purchase orders and specifications.
Ensures that shipper BOLs and our receiving paperwork match.
Sort and segregate all items on each load.
Properly count and tags each pallet with pallet license plate for correct item being received.
Properly enter correct pack/expire dates on products received.
Enter proper weights on random weight items.
Inputs stock items into computer/scan gun and stores produce in the assigned location in or around warehouse.
Ensures all picks (slot locations) are full and ready for each warehouse shift.
Other duties as assigned.
