About The Position

This role is responsible for checking inbound product against receiving paperwork to ensure that product matches the order in quantity and pack size, and labels the product accordingly. The Receiver also ensures product condition meets acceptable government and company requirements, which helps maintain accurate inventory records and ensures the customer receives the correct, high-quality product. This role may also receive overtime compensation. The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 6 am - 4 pm, with potential for Sunday work.

Requirements

A minimum of 3 months previous warehousing experience required
Able to read & write legibly
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Good verbal communication skills
Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

Previous comparable warehouse experience preferred
High School Education or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

Check inbound product identification against invoices and receiving paperwork to insure correct pack/size, quantity, product quality and temperature, pallet ti/hi, etc.
Check the temperature of all inbound frozen and refrigerated products to ensure proper temperatures and comply with U.S. Foodservice’s food safety and RRE requirements.
Check the cleanliness of the trailers before they are unloaded.
Verify quantity of each product to insure physical count agrees with shipping and receiving documentation; report any variances so that inventory levels are accurately adjusted in system.
Apply labels to all incoming product to identify that product in the warehouse for stocking, selection and inventory tracking.
Complete required paperwork for daily receiving, as per U.S. Foodservice, USDA and SOX requirements; sign and date to authenticate products received are placed into inventory.
