About The Position

The Receiver plays a key role in supporting store operations by ensuring all incoming merchandise is accurately received, inspected, and processed. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, organizing backroom storage areas, and ensuring that products are properly documented and available for distribution to departments. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work efficiently in an early morning, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Minimum one (1) year of experience in receiving, warehouse, grocery, or inventory-related work.
Must be able to work early morning shifts.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment.
Experience with inventory management systems.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders for accuracy and quality.
Identify, document, and report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies in deliveries.
Organize and store incoming merchandise in designated areas following established procedures.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized receiving and backroom storage areas.
Update inventory records and assist with maintaining accurate stock information.
Rotate product using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) methods as required.
Assist with regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
Communicate effectively with department leads and management regarding receiving issues or concerns.
Operate warehouse and receiving equipment safely (including pallet jacks and forklifts if certified).
Support overall store operations by ensuring timely and accurate processing of deliveries.
Perform other duties as assigned.
