About The Position

This Receiver is responsible for performing day-to-day receiving responsibilities and inventory control. Responsibilities include verifying vendors shipped the appropriate components/parts and keep accurate records in real time. Receivers do inventory audits and control to prevent/discover inventory discrepancies. The Receiver is also required to use company equipment such as a forklift and cherry picker.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Two (2) years of previous warehousing experience in inventory control, shipping and receiving, and stock keeping preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control procedures.
  • Ability to be certified on multiple styles of fork trucks, and a high degree of attention required to prevent injury to others.
  • Ability to read and write and add and subtract whole numbers.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task by balancing/prioritizing 1-5 cases at any given time.
  • Requires the ability to work as a member of a team with co-workers, customers, and suppliers.
  • Requires the desire to expand personal competencies and capabilities through training and education.
  • Computer literacy/experience required. Must be proficient in Windows environments. Working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, e-mail, and PICK.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares quantities shown on packing slips to actual items received.
  • Checks in core, new, and remanufactured parts into real time.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate record of inventory transactions of parts received.
  • Operates company fork trucks in a safe manner, perform daily inspections, and reports maintenance issues to maintenance or Supervisor.
  • Participate in cycle counting, stocking and inventory audits.
  • Performs warehouse processes to meet standards.
  • Participates in and supports the principles of Open Book Management.
