About The Position

Vintage Hotels & Niagara’s Finest Hotels is currently seeking a Receiver to join our growing team! This is a great opportunity that can provide flexibility, valuable work experience, and a chance to work with a tenured team. This posting is for an existing vacancy within Lais Hotel Properties Limited. The Receiver ensures that goods received match the purchase order in both quantity and quality. They physically move the goods to the correct locations for distribution to various departments on property.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years’ experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred
• Good computer skills
• Health and safety training required
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
• Must be flexible and adaptable
• Patience for counting and unloading
• Aptitude for figures
• Dependable and self-confident with strong prioritizing skills
• Ethical and honest

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Purchasing, Accounts Payable and Kitchen and other operations departments to receive, inspect put away and rotate products and complete paperwork daily using computerized system
• Inspects the quality of the shipment. If it is not to specifications arranges to have the shipment inspected by the Manager or Supervisor
• Maintains a back-order file and follows up on supplies not yet received
• Prints purchase orders for daily arrivals
• Maintains and cleans storage areas
• Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties’ products and services
• All other duties as assigned
