POSITION SUMMARY: Cardenas Markets is seeking a Receiver to join our team. The Receiver will be responsible for receiving all incoming shipments in the grocery department and ensuring merchandise is not defected or damaged.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
- Minimum one year experience in working receiving;
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain.

- Grocery retail background preferred;
Responsibilities
- Receive shipments, examines and inspects all products for quality;
- Fill orders by stocking items from the warehouse and stock shelves as needed with product from the warehouse;
- Work with management team to coordinate and facilitate shipment placement;
- Document all overages, damages, and shortage;
- Communicate with truck delivery drivers on specific location for proper and safe delivery;
- Respond promptly and courteously to customer needs;
- Operate power equipment to move heavy material like fork trucks and/or pallet jacks.
