About The Position

Horton, Inc., a global airflow industry leader in reliability, service and innovation has an opening for a Receiver to work in our Britton, SD location. This is a 1st shift position and the preferred work hours are 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, with overtime, as needed. Minimum pay starts at $21.39 per hour and depends on experience. Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma, or equivalent (GED).
  • Ability to obtain a industrial power truck license.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. No Visa sponsorship provided now or in the future for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Moves material between process areas and stock storage areas.
  • Fills orders from stock to production floor.
  • Prepares outgoing materials and products for shipment by packaging, attaching proper labels and completing shipping documents.
  • Maintains accurate computer records of material received, sent to production or shipped.
  • Loads or unloads trucks using material handling equipment.
  • Maintain kanban items.
  • Receives parts delivered to the facility by common carrier, company vehicles or other means of transportation.
  • Verifies the quantity and condition of received goods. Signs the bill of lading if no significant shortage, overage or damage is found.
  • Enters receiving data into the Business system to document the availability and location of parts and materials for production.
  • Scans packing slips into business system and assign into interdock system with expiration date.
  • Handles material.
  • Moves material to storage or staging areas (including off site safety stock locations) using material handling equipment.
  • Forwards received parts to second vendors as required, processing all paper records, and verifying quantities.
  • Using information from pick lists, gathers parts in the proper quantities for use by production.
  • Visually inspects parts in the process of handling them, sorting out any which are identified as defective.
  • Checks part numbers, serial numbers and other identifying features in order to be certain that the correct parts are selected.
  • Communicates frequently with production employees to coordinate delivery of parts in a manner which matches workflow.
  • Monitors and fills Independent Demand orders as received and delivers these orders to the proper areas.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature when caught up with orders. Specific examples include assisting stockingshelves, re-stocking returned goods.
  • Provides training in work methods, procedures, and work instructionstoother employees and temporary workers.
  • Performs other duties as directed by the manager.
