About The Position

The hourly pay range for this position is $24.50 per hour - $26.50 per hour. The Key Purpose of this role is to place orders and receive orders from purveyors, and to maintain accurate inventory to the highest standards for organization, cleanliness, and safety.

  • Must be willing and able to learn how to safely operate a fork lift.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Produce, Meat, and Seafood product knowledge.
  • The job requires knowledge of MSDS and correct chemical handling.
  • Work up to 8 hours a day on your feet, excluding breaks.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
  • Employees must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous food-receiving experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/ Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Places orders and receives orders from purveyors.
  • Maintain accurate inventory to the highest standards for organization, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Verify and keep accurate records on incoming orders.
  • Receives, lifts, moves, stores, issues, counts, sorts, weighs, and verifies items on requisitions or invoices.
  • Receives and processes a wider variety of incoming freight, including produce, meats, dairy, dry goods, chemicals, and other materials on a daily basis and according to priority.
  • Compares incoming products to bills of invoices, orders, or other records to verify information.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with vendors to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Orders Products using Net menu Platform and rotates stock to ensure freshness.
  • Prepares product for distribution, including transportation and storage.
  • Returns damaged items or other items to vendors that do not meet our specifications.
  • Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas by sweeping and mopping.
  • Complies with all HACCP/OSHA, and/or local policies and procedures related to all assigned work.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
  • Drive company van and make deliveries.
  • Build relationships with delivery vendors.
  • Ability to communicate with co­workers and other departments with professionalism and respect.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with all coworkers, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers, and client representatives.
  • Assist other team members and staff as required.
  • Ability to remove garbage and transport to dumpster areas.
  • Proper lifting skills when handling stock.
  • Ability to load and push a cart long distances.
  • Follows all Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Follows safety protocols, maintains environmental responsibility, and upholds quality standards in all tasks.
  • Actively participates in HSEQ training and reports any potential hazards or compliance concerns.
