About The Position
As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role involves unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, moving products to the sales floor, and preparing the work area for daily operations. It is a physical, fast-paced job that requires safe lifting practices, attention to detail, and most of the shift spent on your feet. Shifts may take place in the morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight, depending on store needs. Associates also provide friendly, professional assistance to customers and teammates. The position may involve working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather and climate conditions, exposure to noise and moving or shaking equipment, and occasional travel for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. Associates must follow lifting guidelines: single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed, and powered equipment must be used with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. Additional responsibilities at Pro Fulfillment Stores include picking and staging flatbed delivery orders and ensuring they are ready for delivery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
- Follow safe lifting guidelines, including a 75-pound limit for single lifts.
- Use powered equipment only with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
- Provide friendly and professional customer and teammate support.
Nice To Haves
- Three months of experience operating forklifts or powered equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
- Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
- Bilingual, military, or veteran experience or background is encouraged.
Responsibilities
- Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering project support.
- Receive and verify deliveries, unload freight, and complete dock preparation.
- Stock merchandise by moving products to the sales floor, down-stocking, organizing shelves and top stock, and setting up pallets.
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
- Operate store equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scanners, Zebra phones, and balers as needed.
- Assist customers with locating or loading products.
- Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, proactively communicate with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction and execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
